Learning outcomes
Upon the completion of the programme, the students will be able to
1.   define classical and contemporary theories in political science; to identify the differences and similarities among those theories and to evaluate them.
2.   follow the political events in Turkey and the world while developing a critical view.
3.   identify and evaluate local, regional and global issues and problems.
4.   adapt solutions to the issues in the political and public sphere in line with the human rights, public law, equality, and sustainable development.
5.   use computer software required by the discipline and to possess advanced level computing and IT skills.
6.   understand, classify and evaluate the relations among states, supranational and transnational actors.
7.   understand, comment on and interpret the socio-economic facts and political developments of Turkey.
8.   understand and interpret the problems in public administration in order to find solutions within the framework of general and private law.
9.   sample and pinpoint the crucial issues in Turkish public administration, historical development of Turkish administration structure, local and central administrative units and comparative public administration.
10. have ethical, social and scientific values in the stages throughout the processes of collecting, interpreting, disseminating and implementing data related to political science and public administration.
11. keep abreast of current news on political science and public administration, learn a foreign language and to communicate with one’s pers.
12. improve the acquired knowledge, skills and qualifications for personal and social reasons, produce innovative and creative ideas and put them into practice,  think in an interdisciplinary way and contribute to effective teamwork.
